Hi everyone, I’m happy to announce the launch of the English version of my blog!
A lot of things have changed in my life since I opened my very first blog in 2012 – I was using a free hosting; I had almost no experience in the field.
Now I live in an international context, and I recognised that the Italian language was somehow limiting me and the reach of my blog posts. That’s why I decided to launch this new version of my blog.
The only thing that has never changed is my goal – I still believe that companies should start to consider internet as part of their business strategies. And to do that, they need highly qualified people.
My E-commerce Hub Summary
Last month, I had the pleasure to be on stage at e-commerce hub, the biggest e-commerce conference in the south of Italy. I made a speech on “Data-driven Marketing” and why data are vital for an e-commerce business.
“Data are a means to an end, not the end itself.” has been the most quoted sentence of my speech.
I’m happy about that because I believe that the primary goal of a data-driven approach is not the data collection, but it’s a mix 3 activities: data collection, analysis and use of the information.
The last part of my speech has been about the measurement of the performances.
The management defines Business Goals and Objectives, at the same time, a marketer should be able to translate them into useful KPIs and metrics for his daily activities.
